Vimicro announces Initial Public Offering

Vimicro International Corporation today announced the initial public
offering of 8,697,063 American Depository Shares, or ADSs, priced at $10
per share on the NASDAQ National Market under the trading symbol "VIMC."
The company is offering 6,750,000 ADSs and selling shareholders are
offering 1,947,063 ADSs. Vimicro has granted the underwriters the right
to purchase up to an additional 1,304,560 ADSs to cover over-allotments,
if any.

The managing underwriters of the offering are Morgan Stanley & Co.
Incorporated, acting as sole bookrunner, with co-managers Merrill Lynch &
Co., Needham & Company LLC and Piper Jaffray.
