Folk artist Liu Zhian from Chongqing's Yunyang County finally completed
his "1000 Shou (longevity)" wood carving after one year's arduous work in
mid December. The wood carving consists of one large Chinese character
"Shou" and 999 smaller "Shou" of different styles in different times. In
the past three decades, Liu combined calligraphy with wood carving and
created more than 2,000 pieces of wood carving works, which are highly
appreciated by consumers.
