A young man was hanging up Garfield toys on a frame in the air in the
gaming area of the imminent 21st Spring Festival cultural temple fair at
the Temple of Earth which is scheduled to open on Jan. 28. On that day,
tens of thousand of tourists here will break the usual tranquility of the
Temple of Earth, the site where Ming (1368-1644) and Qing Dynasty
(1616-1911) emperors worship the "god of Earth," to celebrate the Spring
Festival of the Year of the Dog in the Chinese lunar calendar.
