Tibetan monk established a private school by his own
www.chinanews.cn 2005-10-28 16:05:22
On the remote plain in Qinghai province in north-west China, a merciful
and intelligent Tibetan monk named Jimei Jianzan built up the first
private school in Qinghai for several hundreds of children who could not
afford to go to school. At an exhibition held in Beijing in late October,
the organizer offered him a free booth to display dairy products which
became the economic source of the school. In the photo the monk was
giving out cheese to visitors.
