Rare "turbid water cave"

www.chinanews.cn 2006-04-03 17:41:13

There is a small natural cave near a brook at the entrance of a road in
Hunshui Village, Maoshi Township, Tongzi County, Guizhou Province. For
thousands of years, a great deal of turbid water flows from the cave and
blends into the clear river water, producing a scene of division between
the yellowish turbid water and the greenish clean river. Local villagers
reveal that this village is named Hunshui (turbid water) Village because
of this cave, from which turbid water flows since ancient times. As to
the cause of this phenomenon, local villagers have no idea, and it
remains a mystery up to now.
